Fusion PPE is Pleased to Help Beauty Salons Reopen Safely and Welcome Clients Back After State Mandated Coronavirus Quarantines

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, Fusion PPE created a “Pathway to Protection” for beauty salons to reopen safely. The pathway includes recommendations based on industry guidelines from OSHA and the CDC. We have outlined here the protocols and products Fusion PPE created specifically for this massive consumer industry.

On Friday, June 26, many Philadelphia suburbs moved into the Green Phase, allowing salons to reopen. Although many still wonder if it is safe to go get their hair done. Claire Gillespie wrote an article for Health stating some of the potential risks and why salons are taking precautions through adopting a “new normal.” The Coronavirus spreads through person-to-person contact of an infected person or someone asymptomatic. For this reason, salons are taking extra steps to limit close contact with clients.

Health’s article includes a quote from Lorraine Massey, a New York City salon owner, saying, “‘We are ready to adapt to a new normal… We’re taking all the required safety measures necessary, including having everyone who comes into the salon wear masks, gloves, and face shields.”

Fusion PPE Works with Image Is… Salon and RAZRBAR

Recently, Fusion PPE worked with Image Is…Salon in Timonium, Maryland. Our team of medical and healthcare experts leveraged our “Pathway to Protection” methodology to help the salon’s stylists and clients return to the salon with confidence.

The new protective measures at Image Is…Salon include Fusion PPE’s exclusive Microbe Safety Mask™ for all of its stylists and aestheticians, disposable masks available for clients, and hand sanitizer throughout the salon. The Microbe Safety Mask™ was our recommendation as it is comfortable to wear all day long and offers optimal protection from germs as it is bonded with an antimicrobial coating. This reusable, machine washable mask features adjustable ear straps, breathable fabric, and flexible four-way stretch, making it the perfect solution for hairstylists and aestheticians.

RAZRBAR, renowned men’s salons in Collegeville, Pennsylvania and Wayne, Pennsylvania also prioritizes safety in its plans to reopen by using the finest personal protective equipment from Fusion PPE.

Ed Tell, owner of RAZRBAR ~ Fine Grooming For Men, is taking every precaution necessary to do his part in stopping the spread of the Coronavirus and reopen safely. He is providing the Microbe Safety Mask™ to all of his stylists, to have a breathable mask for their busy days. Also, his stylists will use Fusion PPE’s ORBEL™ personal hand sanitizing device. This clip-on device automatically disperses sanitizer gel through a set of roller balls without excess. This constant access to hand sanitizer allows stylists to keep their hands clean throughout the day, without interrupting their work. Finally, all guests and stylists are checked before entry for a temperature with our no-contact infrared thermometer, and hand sanitizers and disposable face masks are available throughout the salons.

Fusion PPE’s “Pathway to Protection” for salons outlines a germ prevention plan leading from the moment clients walk in through their experience inside the salon, to the turnover process before welcoming the next client. This holistic approach enables salon owners to feel confident they are taking the appropriate measures to safeguard their clients, staff, and business as a whole.
